Who: Chad Pregracke, CNN’s Hero of the Year 2013
When: April 29th, 2016
Where: Burton Cummings Theatre, 364 Smith Street, Winnipeg, Mb.
Time: 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

The Manitoba Conservation Districts Association and Take Pride Winnipeg! have organized a unique opportunity exclusively for high school students and teachers. We are bringing
CNN’s Hero of the Year 2013 (Chad Pregracke) for the first time to Winnipeg.

Last December MCDA brought Chad to Brandon to present at our annual conference. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to invite 300 high school students to attend along with 500 delegates. Chad blew everyone away! He received a standing ovation and I saw tears in the eyes of many! His story inspires everyone to make a difference today and to think big. We will tandem Chad’s presentation with a look at awesome conservation projects going on all over Manitoba. Tom Ethans from Take Pride Winnipeg will discuss volunteer initiatives that students can participate in over the year. It is certain to be a memorable afternoon for all who attend.

Some comments from students who saw Chad speak at the event in Brandon:

“He was very inspirational, a must-see!”

“Chad is a wonderful guy and is making a difference every day. He is someone I look up to.”

“He was very motivating and inspired me to think of ways that I can make a change to better the environment”

“Chad had a very powerful message that you can make a huge difference in the world if you persevere and have determination.”

If your class or school would like to attend, please email me back shane@mcda.ca with your “contact name”, “school name”, “grade(s)”, “how many in the class” as soon as possible. Only 1500 seats are available!

Check out Chad’s website: http://livinglandsandwaters.org/ as well.
