Celebrating 40 Years of Watershed Successes

Join us in our 40th year as we celebrate all of the great projects and partnerships that have helped to build the Manitoba Conservation Districts organization into what it is today.  We are promising exciting keynote speakers, full tradeshow, fun ice breaker with live band,  an inspiring youth presentation, and a friendly conservation hockey game. Our event and speakers focus on water resources, watershed health, sustainable landscapes and healthy communities. Our Conference is an educational and networking event for everyone involved in and passionate about watershed health and sustainability across Manitoba and further. Over 500 in attendance each year!

Keynote Speakers

Jay Ingram

Jay is a Canadian science writer/broadcaster. He has hosted two national science programs in Canada, Quirks and Quarks on CBC radio and Daily Planet on Discovery Channel Canada. He has written 13 books, which have been translated into 14 languages, has five honorary degrees and is a member of the Order of Canada.

Harry Stoddard

Harry is often referred to as the “Canadian Joel Salatin,”. He raise's 100% grass-fed beef, lamb, pastured pork and poultry with a mission to use agriculture to regenerate the planet and create a flourishing future for all living things. Author of Real Dirt: An Ex-industrial Farmer’s Guide to Sustainable Eating in 2013.

Chad Pregracke

Chad was CNN's 2013 Hero of the Year and founder of Living Land & Waters organization in Illinois. He has dedicated his life to cleaning up the Mississippi river and other U.S. waterways. Managing over 70,000 volunteers over 15 years together they have collected over 7 million tons of garbage. Close to 90% of what he recovers is recycled.
